We are delighted to announce that after much hard work the team at KANRA have registered the former residents association as a 'Community Interest Company' and in doing so will free up many more opportunities to provide your community with further services.
The formation of a board of directors to oversee and facilitate this new venture was established back in the early part of 2022, and with significant paperwork and evidence to be provided to Companies House the hard work paid off with the certification of 'Kingsway and Newton Residents Association CIC.'
So what does this mean to your community? Well, firstly it may bring enhanced funding opportunities, which in turn will allow even more services to be provided from the Community Hub and there is also scope to now take forward a potential application to form a registered charity.
The whole team involved, which now are officially Directors are delighted to report this milestone and remain to work hard on behalf of all residents in the Kingsway and Newton area.
